Forum of Ideas for Quebec
Co-director and co-founder of the Forum of Ideas for Quebec, Jean-Pierre Bélanger is in charge of public relations as well as participating in logistical organization. He is the Director General of the Marguerite-Bourgeoys Museum in Old Montreal.
Jean-Pierre Bélanger is an actor by training. He has not only performed on stages across Quebec but has also staged and written several plays, shows and novels. He is a graduate of the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Montréal as well as the London Academy of Music and Drama (LAMDA), and has greatly contributed to the cultural, philanthropic, political and corporate sectors of Montréal and of Quebec as a whole.
Before taking on the management of the Marguerite-Bourgeoys Museum, Jean-Pierre Bélanger was the Director General of Montréal’s municipal Vrai changement pour Montréal political party. He was also Vice President of the public relations firm Wagram Communications and head of media relations at world congresses of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Jean-Pierre Bélanger has worked as the Communications Director and then Director General of Celebrations Canada for the Department of Canadian Heritage. He has also coordinated the financing campaign and events for Montréal’s International Festival of Films on Art.
